SpotCheck® is provided by SpotDev Services Ltd(“SpotDev”, “we”, “us”), company number 14296175, VAT number GB-425818778, registered office Office 11, 3 Edgar Buildings, George Street, Bath BA1 2FJ. By creating an account or running an audit, you agree to these terms.
SpotCheck runs a read-only configuration audit of a website or HubSpot portal you connect or submit, and gives you a graded report with prioritised findings. A HubSpot audit uses read and search operations only; no customer-portal update or deletion step is part of an audit. Customer-portal traffic is restricted to allow-listed GET requests and documented read/search requests, with no customer-portal write operation. Website audits use public web requests and do not alter the submitted site. The accuracy of a report depends on the available evidence being complete and current at the time of the audit.
By selecting the authority and processing confirmation and starting an audit, you instruct and authorise SpotDev to retrieve and process the data needed to perform that audit, use the processors identified in our privacy policy, and create and retain the resulting report artefacts. For an optional website visual conversion review, those artefacts may include selected compressed page screenshots and the evidence needed to explain the recommendations. Time-limited audit evidence is kept only for 24 hours from persistence; report artefacts have no automatic expiry and persist until they are deleted following an authorised request or legal requirement. If you act for an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to give this instruction on its behalf. This confirmation is your documented instruction and explicit written agreement for SpotCheck's limited hosted processing, including the exceptions identified in our Data Processing Agreement.
SpotDev is controller for account, security, service-usage and direct communication data. For client audit data, the organisation authorising the audit is controller (or processor for another controller) and SpotDev is processor or sub-processor. Those roles, instruction limits and security duties are governed by the Data Processing Agreement, this instruction, the SpotCheck privacy policy, and our Privacy Policy and Cyber Security Policy.
SpotCheck is free to use. The standard allowance is 3 audits per Europe/London calendar month. SpotDev staff accounts are unlimited. If you need more, contact us and we will consider granting additional credits. We may change these limits, or introduce a paid tier with different limits, with reasonable notice. Nothing in these terms guarantees unlimited or uninterrupted access to the service.
You agree not to:
SpotCheck, SpotCheck®, SpotDev, and SpotDev® are trademarks of SpotDev Services Ltd. The underlying software, scoring methodology, and report design remain our property. You own the underlying data about your own website or HubSpot portal; we grant you a licence to view, download, and share the reports we generate for you.
SpotCheck is provided on an “as is” basis. Scores, grades and scored findings are generated by deterministic checks. Optional AI advice and website model experiments are identified separately and do not affect the score. All output is intended to help you prioritise your own review, not to serve as professional, legal, security, or compliance advice. We do not guarantee that a report is complete, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose, and we recommend validating any critical finding before acting on it.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SpotDev is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of SpotCheck, or from actions you take (or do not take) based on a report. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, misuses the service, or poses a security risk to SpotCheck or to other customers. You may stop using SpotCheck and ask us to delete your account at any time; see our privacy policy for how we handle data on deletion.
We may update these terms as SpotCheck evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date at the top of the page. Continued use of SpotCheck after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
